Visiting the 1st Cav. horses

Today we went to the 1st Cav. barn and fed the horses. Alexis had such a great time will all her friends and the horses. We also got to see Buddy the dog.
In the morning we went to Tiny Tots. As always Alexis had a good time. She loves singing and playing with her friends. There was a book fair at school as well and we got a few books to mail to daddy so he can read them, make a video, and mail them back to Alexis. She loves getting mail from daddy. Today she got the book "Charlet's web" and a recording of daddy reading it.
The mail man was nice enough to bring us the giant boxes Daddy mailed home last week. Inside was his computer, xbox, and some freshly worn clothing for me.
As always we have another great day planned for tomorrow.

Blog tag

Here you go Shannon:
This is a picture of Alexis last summer. She is riding in her "car-car" which was one of her favorite 1st birthday gifts. We put a lot of miles on it last summer and plan to do the same this summer.

Making music

We had great weather in TX today. We took full advantage of it again. After Alexis's nap we meet up with Heather, Grace and Creighton at the playground. Alexis had a great time swinging on the swing. For dinner we ate at Heather's house. She made breakfast for dinner and it was very yummy! Alexis liked the pinapple. After dinner the girls and Creighton all enjoyed making music and signing. Unfortunally I don't think there is a record deal in the near future for any of us.

Congrats Heather!

Today we went to a ceremony to honor Heather and other volunteers. Heather was given the Volunteer of the Month for 3-8 Cav. Yeah Heather! During the ceremony they offered childcare so I took Alexis. She did so well! She stayed for about 20 mins till I heard her start to cry. So I brought her out and she sat quietly on my lap eating gold fish the rest of the time. After the ceremony we went to Jason's deli for dinner. It was very yummy!
We had great weather today so this afternoon Alexis and I spend a lot of time outside. Alexis enjoyed playing at the playground, riding in her wagon, and eating blueberrys on the front patio. She made a mess, but had fun.

My little shopper

Alexis had a good time shopping at the pet store tonight. Watch out if she is following you with the cart because she likes to run into your ankles.
This afternoon we tye-dyed some shirts with Heater, Grace, and Creighton. Afterward we went to Quiznos and had free dinner!
Alexis also had a checkup at the doctors today. She weights 21LBS even! Yeah! The doctor said she looks great. She had to get some blood work done, but she did great.

We love boxes!

Alexis and I love getting boxes of goodies. Especially when they have treats in them! Alexis got her dehydrated fruit and mommy got her tastycakes! Alexis also got a few new toys, book, cups and a new plate and bowl set. Thanks grandmom!
Our friend Loretta had a few of us over for dinner tonight. She made a yummy roast. And Alexis loved getting to play with Catilina and the big girls.
It was a big day for us again. I think I am going to steal Heather's idea and spend most of tomorrow in my PJ's.

Stoping to smell the roses

Today Alexis is feeling better. We tried to have a quiet day, but it never seems to work out that way. Alexis enjoyed playing with the flowers that Grandmom sent for Valentines. Alexis also enjoyed eating her first chocolate chip cookie. I found some without eggs. She loved them! It is not often she gets "junk" food, but it is nice to give her something new.

Croup

Alexis has croup. After a "small" fight with the appointment line and doctors office I was finally able to get her seen. Poor thing has an awful cough. They said there is not much you can do, but use a humidifier and some steroids. I hope it helps so we can both get some much needed sleep.

Playdough, markers, and shopping!

What a busy afternoon! Alexis likes playing with playdough and markers. She made a big mess, but that is what she does best. She aslo had pizza for the first time today. Of course my pizza was so much better than hers so she refused to eat hers and only ate mine. Our friends Heater, Grace, and Creighton came for dinner tonight. After dinner we did a little shopping. Heather and I are on the hunt for St. Patrick's day stuff to send to our hubbys. We have another couple of busy days coming up, but we don't mind. Aleixs loves to be busy!

Alexis loves tubby time!

Today we had another busy day. I took Alexis to TX Tumblers where they have an open gym on monday mornings. She had so much fun with her friends. Than we all went to Subway for lunch than home for a nap. After a nice nap we went to Heather's for dinner. She made yummy tacos! Alexis and Grace had a great time playing and Little Man watched. Soon I think he is going to be chacing the girls around! Alexis also started saying a few new words today. She "roared" at a lion on the TV. Heather is also thankful that she said sock and brought it to her attention that the baby was not wearing any. We are so lucky she points these things out to us. I don't know where Heather would be with out her telling her how to take care of Creighton.
When we got home from dinner Alexis had a great time in the tub. She has always loved getting a bath. The only part she hates is when we wash her hair.

St. Patricks day boxes

Today Alexis and I went and made St. Patricks's day care packages for 1-5 cav. We had a good time and it was nice to meet some of the other spouses in the company. Our new FRG leader Sarah did a great job organizing the event.
Alexis ate everything in sight today. I am sometimes amazed at the amount of food she can eat. I am just glad she is usually good about eating her veggies and fruit. She loved the fruit granmom sent from PA for her.
Tonight Heather, Grace, and Little Man came over for dinner. I grilled some chicken, made garlic bread, some veggies, and Heather brought over some yummy apple crisps. Alexis and Grace had a great time playing together like usual. Alexis thinks she is such a big girl! We weighed the kids and Creighton only weighs 4lbs less than Alexis and he is only 3 months old and Alexis is 19! I wonder what Heather feeds him! He does have the cuttest rolls of any littel man I have ever seen.

Happy Valentines day!

Even though I did not get to spend the day with my "Valentine" I did get to spend the day with my wonderful daughter!
We had a lazy morning after someone thought it was a good idea to get up at 5:30am! Heather droped of her little man for us to watch while her and Grace went to dance. After that we got up and started moving. We meet Heather at our favorite store, hobby lobby, and got a few things. Than it was time to head home for a much needed nap. We were woken from our nap by a nice suprise, flowers! Thanks mom! After a quick trip to the grocery store Alexis had tubby time. Than off to Heather's for dinner. Alexis got a cute stuffed puppy from Grace and Creighton for Valentines. She loves it. Catilina also gave her a cute cookie. And as a treat after dinner Alexis had a popsicle! She made a mess, but loved it. Finally after a long day we are home and Alexis is sleeping.
Although we did not spend the day with Alex we talked about him alot. Alexis loves to hear all a bout her daddy. He is defentially her hero.

We had a great time at our themed dinner tonight. Alexis and I loved the fair food! We even got to make our own funnel cakes. It was actually easier to make than you would think. All the kids had fun running around and should sleep good tonight.
Alexis also had a big day full of Valentines day partys. She had one at Tiny Tots as well as the libary story time. I think we are both partyed out! When we got home this afternoon there was a box at our back door from Grandmom. There were lots of cool new toys for Alexis and some Tastycakes for mommy!

I took Alexis to Texas Tumblers today for open gym. She had such a great time. Alexis was running around jumping and playing with all the big kids. Alexis loved playing "ring around the rosie". After playing for 1 1/2 hours we went to lunch with Heather, Shannon, and all the kids. Alexis ate a big lunch than took a good nap. In the afternoon we went to the craft store and got some cute ribbons to make bows for Alexis's hair. Than we had a great dinner at Heather's house. She made some yummy chicken and rice. Of course we had to have some cake too.

Spring shopping

Today Alexis and I went to the Round Rock outlets for some much needed clothing shopping. I found lots of cute new clothing for Alexis for the upcoming spring season. And since we live in TX it is almost spring already. Alexis was a very good girl while I shopped. Her favorite part of the trip was the car ride when she got to watch 45 mins of Dora. I am so glad we broke down and bought a portable DVD player.
After a full morning of shopping Alexis took a good nap. Tonight before bed she took a ride around the house on her bike than Monkey chased her. All in all it was a full day!

Alexis's big accomplishment

Today my little girl grew up just a little more! Alexis went down the slide all by herself. Untill now she has always held someone's hand or sat on someone's lap. Well not today. While we were at the playground with some friends she followed one of the other little kids and went down the slide all by herself. I was so proud!
She has also become facinated with "feeding" her dolls. Today she put her daddy doll in the highchair and gave him a bottle. I guess daddy was hungery! After his snack Daddy went for a ride in the Car-Car.
