Finally the nice weather is back!

Too bad I was not feeling 100 % today. I did take Alexis out to play in her sandbox and to the swings. She had a good time. She is getting good at saying "swing" and I am guessing the next word will be "sandbox". It seems she is really good at saying words like that, but won't say cat. Instead she "meows". I give up!

A new sandbox and a great deal at Target!

Alexis got her new sandbox tonight and loves it! I on the other hand I have learned that a sand box is messy. But as long as she is having fun it is worth it. We also had dinner with some friends tonight and it was very good food.
I am also excited about the deal I got at Target today! My "partner in crime", I mean friend Heather, and I are learning the fine art of coupon cutting. And we have taken coupon cutting to the extreame. Usually getting items for free or a fraction of the actual cost. It takes very little time, just some planning and organizing before going to the store. It is a skill worth learning and I am glad to have a great friend to learn with.

20 Months old

My little girl is 20 months old today! She is growing up so fast. Everyday she become more like a little lady and less like a baby. It is bittersweet because I would love for her to stay little forever, but I also can't wait to see what a smart little girl she will become.

Learning new words

Every day Alexis learns new words. Today she learned moon and house. This morning we went to Tiny Tots class. She loves singing and dancing with all her friends. Than she played with Ben, Peter and Abby. They played on the swings, pushed the bubble lawn mower, and threw the ball. Alexis is loving the great weather here in TX. After she took a good nap we colored a pillow case to send to Daddy. Hopefully he will love it. I put it in the box along with the 5 dozen cookies I made him and his soliders last night. Than we took all the goodies to the post office. Tonight Heather made us a yummy dinner! Alexis loved the potatos. He tummy was so full it was hard as a rock. We all took a nice long walk after dinner. Hopefully Alexis will sleep good tonight. I included pictures of Alexis putting stickers on daddy's box.

Trip to the park

Yesterday Alexis and I went to the park on WS Young and had a great time. She love the swing and had a good time running around the track. She has now gotten very good at saying "swing". She also has learned to reconize any play structure as a playground and starts to yell with excitment. One big perk of living in TX is the great weather. Alexis loves to play outside. Today I ordered her a sandbox. I am excited for it to get here. I know she will love the many hours of fun that comes with having a sandbox.
