Mono

Last weeks Alexis got sick. After some blood work they found out she had mono. Poor thing was so sick, but she bounced back really quickly and within a week she is back to normal. We have to be careful of her spleen for the next 4-6 weeks. So we can't give her the trampoline we got her for christmas. Oh well.
Over the past few days we have been spending lots of time getting ready for christmas. Lots of baking, cleaning and crafting. We are having lots of fun. Yesterday we made dog treats. Hopefully Solomon and Calvin will enjoy them. We do have to now wrap all the things we have been making. Alexis is a great helper.

Kedrowitsch

Today Alexis spelled her last name! I though it was probably time to teach her how to spell it and she quickly showed me she already know it! I don't know how or when she learned it, but she definitely surprised me.
She is always amazing me with how smart she is.

Thanksgiving week

We spent Thanksgiving with Aunt Tina and Uncle Brad. Alexis and I drove up to PA the Sunday before Thanksgiving. We had a good time. We went shopping and spent lots of time preparing for thursday. Alex flew up on Thursday and Dieter went to get him from the airport. We had a great thanksgiving dinner. Alexis was only interested in eating the turkey cupcakes I made. They were cute.
I did venture out to toys-r-us for black friday. I got a few things for Alexis. Brad and Dieter sat outside Target for 6 hours to get a new TV. They were successful.
On Saturday we took Daddy to Chocolate World. We had a great time. We did the tour and than Alexis and Daddy decorated a cupcake. Saturday night we rode through the Hershey light display. Alexis loved the rain deer lights.
Our drive home was a tough one. It should have taken 7 1/2 hours and ended up taking 12 hours. The trafic on the 95 was awful!

Trick or Treating 2010

Unfortunately Alex was not able to make it home from jump school on time for Trick or Treating this year. Alexis was a princess ballerina. I made her a tutu and got her some leotards. Aunt Tina, Grand mom and Sophia were here with us. Alexis had a great time, by the end she was a profesional. The first few homes she was a little skeptical about just saying "trick or treat" and getting candy, but she quickly caught on. She got a ton of candy. When we got back I let her eat some while we handed out candy. I think she likes handing out candy just as much as she likes getting it. All in all it was a good night. Hopefully daddy will be here for Halloween next year.

It's been a while

It has been a long time since I have blogged. I have missed it. I
plan on making time for it at least once a week.
Just to update everyone alex returned home from Iraq in December, we
moved to Ga in April and just moved into our new home in NC. Right
now alex is trying to finish up jump school so he can come home. My
MIL and SIL are staying with me getting things ready.
Today I went and bought new blinds for our kitchen than I installed
them. They look great. Tomorrow is trick or treating so that should
be fun. I will blog all about it tomorrow.

Month of the Millitary Child fest.

Here are some pictures from our day. Alexis had a great morning at the fest. with her friend Grace. She had a lunch of potato chips, juice, snow cone, and pizza crust! She got to ride her first horse. She was very scared at first, but not as scared towards the end. I think her favorite part was the petting zoo. She also did a few crafts and got a t-shirt. Unfortunally I got sunburned! But atleast it was not Alexis. In the afternoon we went to the store than came home and made dinner for our friends. It was another busy, but good day!

Alexis's first egg hunt!

Here are some pictures from Alexis's first egg hunt. She had a great time and collected lots of eggs.

We have been so busy!

We have been so busy the past week and also suffering from allergies. Everyday we have lots of different activites to do. This week included our friend Grace's birthday! We went out to dinner with her last night and had yummy water ice. On monday Alexis had to have blood drawn. It was so awful. Usually the nurses are better about getting blood, but not this time. Alexis did so well considering.
This afternoon we are going to the 1-5 Cav easter egg hunt. Tomorrow is the month of the millitary child fest. We are going with Heather, Grace and Creighton. It should be lots of fun. On sunday I am taking Alexis to the doctor's for a checkup. It will be the last with her favoite doctor before he deploys! Hopefully we will be able to find a nice new doctor. So we have a busy few days ahead of us.

Playgroup

Today Alexis and I went to playgroup. Alexis had a great time. She loved pulling around a puppy and rocking on the rocking horse. She also made daddy a picture using some stampers. I am sure he will love it. After a nap Alexis and I went to the mall with Heather and the kids. We got some free stuff at Bath and Body Works and VS. We love free stuff! Tonight we had our first tornado warning of the season. Hopefully it will be the last, but I won't count on it.

Flowers flowers everywhere!

Today was a day full of flowers. Alexis and I planed a few flowers than went to a field of blue bonnits to take some pictures. Alexis loved playing in the dirt and planting some sun flowers. I just hope she has a green thumb becasue I don't. Alexis was very good while we took pictures with the flowers. After the pictures Heather and the kids came for dinner. Unfortunally the grill ran out of gas 1/2 way through dinner.
Alexis just learned how to walk like a duck and it is so cute. I will try to catch it on film tomorrow and post it. She is such a cutie!

Alexis takes on the Zoo!

Today we went to the zoo for the first time this season. It was a great day for the zoo. We went with a few friends and had such a great time. Alexis's favorite animals were the otters and the lions. Alexis loved watching the otters swim in their tank. She was such a good girl on the long car trip. Her and Grace watched a few movies and had lots of snacks. For lunch we went to one of Heather's favorite resturants. Than we made our way back to Killeen. It was a fun filled day. And after a very long day Alexis went right to sleep tonight.
